A street was named after the illustrious industrial personality of the 20th century, founder of our Group. Among the most important entrepreneurs in Livorno in the last century, we find an individual who was part of the port and shipping world and animated and profoundly marked the economic life and the history of the city. Gaetano D'Alesio, founder of the D'Alesio Group, has a road dedicated to him.

The new naming of the road was unveiled during a celebration held on 25th February 2011 with the attendance of his children Antonio and Nello, their respective family members and employees of the Group, the Mayor Alessandro Cosimi and the Councillor of Culture Mario Tredici.

The street was named after Cav. Gaetano D'Alesio and is a stretch of road between Piazza Luigi Orlando and Novi Lena, overlooking Piazza Mazzini and is bordered by the historic executive building of the former Orlando Shipyard on the sea front.
