The D'Alesio Group has been elected " Tanker operator of the year " as part of the prestigious Lloyds List Italian Shipping Awards 2010. Our Livorno-based shipping company has been recognised as leader in the tanker sector for the year 2010. The Italian Shipping Awards - now in their second edition and promoted by Lloyds List, in collaboration with Confitarma, Federagenti, Assorimorchiatori, Federation of the Sea, Assoporti, Coast Guard, Wista, Aipam and Accademia Italiana della Marina Mercantile - promotes excellence in the Italian maritime industry supporting the role of shipping companies within international trade and with vital contribution to the national economy.The awards ceremony took place on Thursday 21st October 2010 in Genova, at Stazione Marittima Ponte dei Mille, and important members from the Italian and International Maritime community attended. Nello D'Alesio, leading the Company for over forty years along with his brother Antonio, attended the Ceremony together with his son and Antonio Jr and nephew Gaetano along with their respective wives receiving the high-flying award on behalf of the entire company.
